In the proud memory of the 46th birthday of Kargil hero Martyr Captain Sumeet Roy "Veer Chakra", the 6th National Savate Championship was organized by Savate Association India from 30th September to the 2nd of October 2023 at Sports Complex Sector 56, Chandigarh.

 

 

Chief guest, martyr's mother Mrs. Sapna Roy formally inaugurated the championship.150 players from 15 states participated.

 

 

In the medal table, West Bengal stood first, Himachal Pradesh second and Haryana stood third. Nasir Firoz of Bihar and Manseerat Kaur of Haryana were selected as best Boxers. Rohit Kumar Prajapati of Bihar was declared as best Assaut fighter and Shariyan Mukherjee of West Bengal was declared as the best combat boxer. Best Discipline Team Trophy was given to Bihar.

 

 

In the closing ceremony of the championship, chief guest Sardar Iqbal Singh honored the winning players with medals. The winning players are selected for the 5th Asian Savate Championship 2024, Indonesia.
