4th Asian Savate Championship was organized in a warm atmosphere and support of International Savate Federation (FISav) and ASC members from 5th to 9th of May 2023, Tashkent-Uzbekistan.
With the hard efforts of the Savate Association (French Boxing) of Uzbekistan, the competitions were organized well with an attractive opening and closing ceremony.
About 200 athletes, officials and team members from Chinese Taipei, India, Iran, Japan, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Nepal Sri Lanka and Uzbekistan as host country participated in the competitions in Assaut in youth, Junior, and senior ages.
Uzbekistan, Iran, Chinese Taipei and India were the countries that got gold medals and stood from the first to the fourth in the final ranking.
During the 4th Asian Savate championship, the 2nd Asian open cup was organized and Azerbaijan joined the Asian members for the cup. Uzbekistan The host country, Iran and Azerbaijan were the countries with the first to the third rank in the 2nd open cup.
Dr. Julie Gabriel and Mr. Gilles LEDUIGOU president and vice president of FISav were VIP guests while Mr.Jean Pascal Santoro technical ambassador of Asian Savate confederation had full supervision of the competitions and Mr. Norihisa Vatanabeh as another official delegation arranged the fight schedules.
While competitions, the general assembly of the Asian Savate confederation was organized with chair of Dr.HamidReza Hesaraki ASC president and general secretary of the international Savate federation.
In this meeting, some important topics related to development plans, anti-doping, reports of the participant countries were discussed and approved by the members.
Indonesia will be the host of the 5th Asian Savate championships in May 2024 and technical, coaching and refereeing seminar will be organized in Bali before the competitions, moreover with the vote of all members Dr.HamidReza Hesaraki was reelected as president to continue the mission of Savate management in Asia.
Uzbekistan as a historical country is a good model of Savate development in central Asia. Thank you Savate Association (French Boxing) of Uzbekistan!
