China, Iran and Japan, Asian medalist countries in Italy

World Savate championships 2014 concluded successfully in Italy – Rome from 30th Oct to 2nd of Nov 2014. More than 30 countries and 220 athletes participated in the championships which was considered as the first official event of Savate after combat games 2013 in Russia.

As it was expected, France with 16 medals(11 gold, 5 silver) once more showed its power in the world of Savate! After France, Finland (1 gold, 2 silver, 3 bronze) and Serbia (1 gold, 1 silver, 3 bronze) stood in 2nd and 3rd place.

Among Asian countries, Japan could get 2 bronze medals, one in men category -56 kg by: Kenta FUNAYAMA. In this category LEE Ji -Suk from Korea , got another bronze medal. Another bronze medal for Japan Savate team got in women category -48 kg by: Mariko HARA.

Iran, another representative of Asia got one bronze medal in men category -60 kg by: Hamzeh Moradian.

It was clear that Savate is more developed in Asia, technically, but it is expectable by organizing Asian Savate championships in 2015, Savate members find another chance to improve their experiences.

While world Savate championships 2014, it was a good chance to organize special meeting with Asian member presidents. In this meeting, Mr Hesaraki the president, reported the latest activities in the field of Savate development in Asia.

After the competitions, Mr.HamidReza Hesaraki, president of Asian Savate confederation and member of FISav committee director, expressed his satisfaction from Asian athletes and wished better future for Savate inAsia.
Moreover, he expressed his gratitude to Ms Julie Gabriel- president of FISav, Mr Gilles LE DUIGOU and Mr Joel DHUMEZH, vice presidents for their support and positive attitude toward Savate management and development in Asia.
