5th Asian Savate Championship was organized in a warm atmosphere and support of International Savate Federation (FISav) and ASC members from the 24th to 29th of June 2024, Bandung-Indonesia.
With the hard efforts of the Savate federation of Indonesia, the competitions were organized well with an attractive opening and closing ceremony.
About 150 athletes, officials and team members from Japan, south Korea, Chinese Taipei, India, Iran, Uzbekistan, Bangladeh and Indonesia as the host country participated in the competitions in Assaut in cadet, youth, Junior, and senior ages, moreover senior combat while for the first time in the history of Asian championships CANNE DE COMBAT competitions were organized, too.
Iran got 24 gold medals and stood in the first in total age categories, while Japan, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Chinese Taipei, India and Bangladesh showed the best fights with the fair play. In CANNE DE COMBAT competitions, Korea, Chinese Taipei and Japan were the flag holders of Asia.
During the 5th Asian Savate championship, Asian refereeing seminar was organized with participation of the elite Asian referees and judges. Dr.HamidReza Hesaraki ASC president and general secretary of FISav with Mr.Gilles LEDUIGOU FISav vice president organized the seminar, too.
Before the seminar, with invitation of Indonesia Olympic committee, dr.HamidReza Hesaraki ASC president and Mr.Wijaya Noeradi Indonesia NOC general secretary met and talked about Savate development in Indonesia.
In the last day of the competitions, general assembly of Asian Savate confederation was organized with the chair of Dr.Hesaraki and presence of Mr.Joel DHUMEZ 1st FISav vice president and president of French Savate federation who represented dr.Julie Gabriel FISav president in the general assembly, Mr.Gilles LEDUIGOU FISav vice president, Mr.Yevon Nogel international Savate trainer, Mr.Liu Kobota Asc vice presidenr, Mr.Shukhrat Khodjayev ASC general secretary and all ASC presidents and members.
In this meeting, some important topics related to development plans, reports of the participant countries and decision about some ASC commissions were discussed and approved by the members.
India will be the host of the 6 Asian Savate championship in March 2025 and technical, coaching and refereeing seminar will be organized in NewDelhi before the competitions.
